Career KICK-W, ranked on a player's best 40-game stretch. Minimum 20 games — 513 players qualify.
KICK-W runs the same formula and the same weights as men’s KICK, against a normaliser calibrated on AFLW data. Ranking uses peak 40 — a player’s best 40-game window — because a career average scores a retired great on their decline rather than their prime.

KICK is a box-score rating, and box scores under-rate key defenders — spoils, intercept positioning and contests prevented do not accumulate the way possessions do. Across AFLW the average midfielder rates about 14 points above the average defender. Read the defender rankings against each other rather than against midfielders. This is a known limitation of the formula on both sides of the competition, not an AFLW quirk.
KICK-W is not comparable with men’s KICK. Same formula, same weights, but a separate normaliser calibrated on AFLW data. An AFLW 70 and a men’s 70 each describe an excellent game for that competition — the two numbers do not mean the same thing and are never ranked together. How KICK-W works.
